Madonna Will Make Her Directorial Debut!

Get ready you Madonna fantatics and all fashion lovers around. The first photo stills for Madge's upcoming directorial debut film, "W.E." have been unleashed. Via Grazia, W.E. stars Abbie Cornish portraying a woman living in the year 1998 who is enthralled with the 1930's marriage between King Edward VIII (portrayed by James D’Arcy) and Wallis Simpson (portrayed by Andrea Riseborough).

The film is said to go from past and present times, juxtaposing King Edward VIII's marriage and love trials.

Based on the few photo images that have been unleashed, aesthetically, speaking costume wise, this film promises to be a spectacularly decadent cinematic experience! Costume designer Arianne Phillips also who helms as Madge's personal stylist, also put together the looks for such memorable films as "A Single Man" (a favorite film of mine.) I must attempt to keep my knickers in a bunch, for I can't wait for the release of this film!!!

Gwen Stefani Does a Kid’s Line for Target and Madonna’s Material Girl Expands (Now Includes Beauty)

One of our favorite fashion writer's, Cheryl Wischhover, shares that both Gwen Stefani and Madonna have alot in common these days...

"Whether you’re a hip parent with a newborn or a teen on the verge of leaving the juniors’ department, pop star mommies Madonna and Gwen Stefani have you covered.

Gwen Stefani‘s Harajuku Lover’s line is shrinking down for the diaper and preschool set; Stefani is taking her pop-arty ode to Japanese street dressing and making it kid friendly for Target. Called Harajuku Mini for Target, the line will be introduced in November and again in January 2012. While she’s designed children’s clothing and shoes for her contemporary LAMB line, this is a first for the younger Harajuku line.

“Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices,” Stefani told WWD. The prices will range from $3.99 to $29.99, which is very refreshing, considering all the high-end children’s lines that are launching lately. Stefani’s kids Kingston and Zuma are always at the apex of style, so we expect great things from this line.

Moving up a few grade levels, Madonna and daughter Lola’s Material Girl line at Macy’s is doing so well that they’re expanding into new territory. Sleepwear, intimates, and beauty offerings are all on the horizon for the juniors’ line.

When it launches, the beauty line will include nail polish, lip gloss, and body sprays and lotions (and with names like Wicked Watermelon, Flirty Fruit, and Sinful Sugar, you get an idea of the scents.) “I chose scents that I loved,” Lourdes told WWD. The beauty line will retail from $7 to $12, comparable to drug store prices.

Intimates are new to the collection, but don’t expect Gaultier cone bras. Sweet rose and polka dot prints, boyfriend briefs, and lace will define the offerings.

Finally, expect to see more party dresses, outerwear, and trendy denim. Kelly Osbourne continues on as the face of the brand in upcoming fall ads."

Madonna, Lourdes, And Kelly....A Darling Trio

Cheeky business pals and now turned friends, Lourdes Leon works alongside Kelly Osbourne, for the relaunch of their upcoming fall 2011 ad campaign. If you kiddas recall, this Macy's collection entitled, "Material Girl" was originally launched with Lourdes' mom, the Queen of Pop, Madonna earlier in the year. Now, their releasing a new batch of images re-starring Kelly as the face of their brand.

It's new collection is entitled, "MG + NYC.
" Madonna released a statement saying, "We are thrilled to have Kelly on board for the launch of the fall 2011 collection." While Kelly shared with saying, "I’m really enjoying being the face of Material Girl. I love being part of a brand for girls and having the opportunity to work with Lola (aka Lourdes) who has an amazing fashion instinct. Added to that is the fact that Madonna has been a big influence on my style over the years."

The fall campaign has Kelly strutting and twirling through the streets of NYC., From Times Square to Soho, from Rockefeller Center to the West Village, no district located in the borough of Manhattan was off limits. Little Italy and Chinatown need not to be forgotten. Material Girl is up for grabs exclusively at Macy’s or it's online store Macy's.com!

Rihanna & Madonna...Well Almost

Rihanna and Madonna may not be hitting the recording studio together but sharing a bottle of water isn't out the question. The pop divas have signed on to promote the newly revamped "Vita Coco coconut water", to be featured for the company’s national advertising campaign commencing this summer.



Rihanna exclaimed in a press release, "I love Vita Coco! It’s real coconut water from hand-picked coconuts. It’s delicious and so good for you!"



Madonna who happens to share endorement duties with none other than Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis. Both are loyal drinkers of Vita Coco. No surprise though since both artist's happen to be investors in the brand.



Madonna released her own statement in regards to thee addition of

Rihanna saying that..."Rihanna is a natural fit for the Vita Coco brand and I’m so happy to have her on the team."

Back in January of 2010, Madonna along with actor Matthew McConaughey and Demi Moore were enlisted as minority investors of the brand.
