Agyness Deyn's First Heartbreak.

Do you kiddas remember your first heartbreak? Well, whether it was you doing the breaking or not, model extraordinaire and favorite female model of itsnotyouitsme, Agyness Deyn remembers all too well her first heartbreak in this new video promo for Doc Martens "First and Forever" ad campaign.

You can see Agy frolicking and being twirled around passionately and endearingly by male model Ash Stymest, who is featured in the video as well. Aggy recalls her first heartbreak saying,
"It’s like mourning isn’t it? It’s gut wrenching and then…you have to try to feel whole yourself again."

Itsnotyouitsme Featured Artist - Woodkid

Woodkid is French video director Yoann Lemoine who is known for his visual aesthetic that is clean, modern and captured with a photographers eye. All true artist are never one dimensional as with Lemoine who has just released a EP for his musical venture as Woodkid.

Below is a interview with Lemoine from Vogue Italy on his morphesis into Woodkid
Do you feel to be more a director or musicin or both? How do you manage to have differents personalities?

“It's very natural for me to be both, I feel like it's the same thing actually. I am haunted by visions and emotions that I'm willing to express, no matter the way. Music as an immediate feeling, singing, playing the piano allows me to translate my feelings instantly, it's very direct and immediate.
Film is a longer process, less instinctive, it requires preparation and the result always take a long time to achieve.
So I guess both are very complementary, and mixing both in a single project really connected me to my art in a deep and wide level, as an artist it's extremely satisfying!”

What attracts you in the video experience? When you give a video to a song, you give a "suggestion" about how to feel this song.. and it is a step more than the music itself, who give the opportunity to imagine everything as a listener.. what do you think about?

“I am very inspired by chords in a song. I always say the chords are like colors, that create different emotions depending on how they are juxtaposed and mixed.
I always use these musical colors as a source of inspirations to my videos, I often seek at references while listening to tracks, and when the relation between the sound and the image makes sense to me I start writing the treatment.
It's just my vision and my emotion, I know they are not universal and that they are very subjective, so I would say these visions are always very personal, and I understand not everybody always gets it.
I have often done videos for tracks with a lot of expectations and the hardcore fans would sometimes be very disappointed. They would expect something else. it's normal!”

What is epic nowadays?

“I would say anything that creates deep and strong emotions. We are exposed to images that are more and more intense, so I guess the boundaries are pushed even further everyday.”

Where the inspiration came from?

“I have been inspired by heroic fantasy a lot, Final Fantasy games, World of Warcraft. I have always been fascinated about how some writers like Tolkien could recreate a whole different world based on religions, races, politics, wardrobe, geography, currencies, myths, monsters, social behaviours... Matthew Barney does it in a way.
I have wanted to create my whole epic world, using the fashion codes that I really like. Something neat and hip mixed with the nerdy and geeky theme of video games.
I am very glad I built some kind of bridge between the fashionistas and the hardcore gamers, which I guess is what I am!”

What's next?

“I just shot a video in LA for this amazing band called the SHOES. It will be a very simple and sunny video, with a lot of air and very positive. But Science Fiction sill be a part of it too! I won't say more...
I am also working on the sequel of IRON! The new single sill come out by the end of the year with a brand new video and will extend this fantasy world I am creating in the Woodkid Project.”

What is the key in the necklace and in the book?

“It's tatoos I have on my arms, but I won't say more, it's part of the answers that will come in the upcoming videos!”

We proudly feature the video for Iron as we cannot describe the amazing energy from lyrics, sound, imagery and the perfect casting of some very familiar faces to itsnotyouitsme Super model Agyness Deyn and male model Willy Cartier. Perfect in every sense. Indulge!

Woodkid 'Iron' featuring Agyness Deyn & Willy Cartier

We couldnt find much information about new artist Woodkid (besides a short write up on his YouTube channel) but the video is breathtaking with its feature super model and itsnotyouitsme favorite Agyness Deyn and male model Willy Cartier.

Woodkid will undoubtedly be the first surprise of 2011. An unexpected arrival far from the manufactured buzz.

The young man, aged 28, has come with an EP of raw beauty, Iron. Woodkid is Yoann Lemoine, previously known for his career as a video director without fault (Yelle, Moby and more recently Katy Perry for "Teenage Dream").

The legend says that on a shoot in the USA, Woodkid received, straight from the hands of great American guitarist Richie Havens, a banjo that immediately replaced his piano, at least for a while. Without neglecting the videos (or film, which is part of projects), Woodkid decided to devote himself to music. Indeed, Yoann Lemoine made the video of Iron himself , which features Top Model Agyness Deyn.
